SAWADIKaaaaa ( p )
In the land of sawadika ( for ladies ) or sawadikap ( for guys ) , the taxis smell of pandanus leaves and jasmine. The sweet smell make us feel relaxed and the people are friendly and welcoming - with their melodious sawadikap !
The public toilets smell of refreshing kaffir lime fruits, and there's water so there's no need for us to beristinja' . Their toilets are very clean -- they put Malaysian public toilets to shame , with the stinking smell and water all over the floor, not to mention the tissue papers scattered everywhere ( incl the children's pampers and sometimes ladies sanitary towels )....wah mengutuk habis-habisan tu!
Eh, perlu ke ada seorang menteri untuk menjaga kebersihan supaya pelancong tak serik datang ke Malaysia?
My daughter Beautiful Life had her MICEB exhibition duty in Bangkok, after that she intended to visit the death railway in Kanchanaburi ( Southern Thai ). So me and my sister took the opprtunity and joined her towards the end of the week. We went to the historical River Kwai which was about 2 hours drive from Bangkok. After that we went to Ayuthia to visit the ancient relics, the reclining Budha, the dancing elephants and later to floating market along the Menam Chao Praya.
The Death Railway over The River Kwai in Kanchanaburi.
River Kwai now, becomes a tourist attraction
The remnants of once glorious Ayuthia, the ancient capital of Siam
The hustle and bustle of floating market
And of course after the strenous journey to Kanchanaburi, Ayuthia , floating market and theatre, we spent other days sightseeing cum shopping around Bangkok.
Guess what we found!.......a beautiful swarovsky evening bag!
There are a lot of Muslim restaurants in Nana , Soi 3/1, in fact the whole road look like some middle eastern town!
Shopping at Chatuchak
Gembira bukan main bila jumpa apa yang dicari!
More shopping at Chatuchak
....and more shopping?
And last but not least......... the loot!
Dok tahulah gi dok beli barang kok se lagu tu, nok bui kayo oghe Bakok jah!
